About me
Erica Slobodnik is the 2nd Grade Lead Teacher at Duquesne K-8 School. This is her 5th year at Duquesne from teaching 3rd grade math, 5th grade math and science, and currently in her 3rd year of 2nd grade. Her grade is a pilot for World of Work and has done collaboration by visiting San Diego, Cajon Valley School District and having cross-country pen pals at Meridian Elementary. She is currently attending Carlow University in the program Educational Leadership with Principals Certification. She also has a Masters in Education (2017). She is very involved within the school district with being on the Instructional Leadership Team, Receiver Advisory Committee, DEA Representative with the Duquesne Education Foundation, Just Discipline Project, PBIS Team, Design Sprint Team, Duke Uplifters, Union Board Rep, and the Union Negotiation Team. She has been married 18 years to her husband Mike. They have three amazing children Victoria (24), Hunter (17), and Apollo (16).
